The short version

The files you process here are never uploaded. Every tool onBackgroundoff runs inside your browser, on your own device. We have no server that receives your images, so we cannot see them, store them, share them or hand them to anyone.

We do not ask you to create an account. We do not collect your name, email address or phone number. What follows describes the small amount of data that is involved anyway, mostly because of advertising and hosting.

Your files

When you select an image, your browser reads it from your disk into the memory of the page. The AI model is downloaded to your device and executed there. The result is drawn on a canvas in the page and saved by your own browser when you press download. None of those steps involve sending your image anywhere.

Once you close or reload the tab, the image is gone from memory. We never had a copy to delete.

What is stored on your device

All of this lives on your device, not on ours, and none of it identifies you.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It does not use cookies, does not fingerprint visitors and does not track people across sites. It tells us how many people opened a page and roughly where in the world they were — enough to know which tool to build next, and nothing about you personally.

Advertising

This site is supported by display advertising. Ad networks are third parties: when an ad is shown, the network may set cookies or use similar technologies to measure the ad and to limit how often you see the same one. That data is handled by the ad network under its own privacy policy, not by us.

If you are in the European Union, the United Kingdom or California, the ad scripts are only loaded after you accept them in the consent banner. If you decline, they are not loaded at all. You can change your choice at any time from the banner.

Ad networks never receive your images. They are not technically able to: your image never leaves the page, and ad scripts run in their own frames.

Affiliate links

Some outbound links to other companies' products are affiliate links, marked as such where they appear. If you follow one and buy something, we may be paid a commission by that company. Following the link tells that company you came from here; it tells us nothing about you beyond an aggregate count.

Payments

The optional payment to remove ads is handled by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record. Your payment details go to them and are never seen by us. We do not receive or store your card number.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes the technical information involved in serving a page — IP address, browser type, which file was requested — for security and to make the site work. This is standard server logging and is not linked to your use of the tools.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Since we collect no personal information from anyone, there is nothing to delete on request.

Your rights

Privacy laws such as the GDPR and the CCPA give you rights to access, correct or delete the personal data a company holds about you. We hold none, so there is nothing for us to produce or erase. If you have a question about that, write to us atbackgroundoff2026@gmail.com and we will answer.

For the data ad networks collect through their cookies, use the consent banner to withdraw consent, and see that network's own policy for how to exercise your rights with them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be announced on the site itself.
